Abstract
Auxin plays an important role in plant growth and development, viral infection affects host auxin accumulation. In this study, we revealed the molecule mechanism by which the viral suppressor HCPro activated the expression of auxin biosynthetic gene in plants. We transiently expressed the foreign gene GUS and the viral suppressor HCPro in Arabidopsis thaliana by using Agrobacterium-mediated leaf-infection. The results confirmed that HCPro can induce the DNA demethylation of YUC1 gene promoter and activate the gene expression in plants, and provided a basis for study on the molecule mechanism of interaction between virus and host.
