Molecular Plant Breeding (ISSN 1923-8266) is an open access and peer reviewed journal. It publishes original research papers involving in the transgenic breeding and marker assisted breeding in plants, particular in the areas of transgene, molecular genetics, crop QTL analysis, germplasm genetic diversity, and advanced breeding technologies. The primary criteria for publication are not only to meet specific interesting of plant geneticists and breeders, but also to satisfy the populations of this journal who are engaged in the development and marketing of seed industry.
Molecular Plant Breeding is archived in LAC (Library and Archives Canada), CNKI Scholar and deposited in CrossRef. The Journal has been indexed by CABI and ProQuest as well.
Molecular Plant Breeding is published online by the GenBreed Publisher, an independent publishing platform in life science based British Columbia of Canada. The GenBreed Publisher applies the Creative Commons Attribution License (CCAL) to all works published in this journal. Under the terms of CCAL, authors retain ownership of the copyright for their article and have granted to any third party to reuse, reprint, disseminate and unlimited download, provided the original authors and source are right cited. No permission is required from the authors or the publishers.
All journals under GenBreed Publisher do not require article processing charges (APCs) and offer free publication and free access. However, Open access publications are not without costs. As a publisher, GenBreed Publisher needs to pay platform operation fees to publishing platform operators. These fees are used for server rentals, journal publishing systems, publishing databases, access space, software upgrades, and the daily operation and maintenance of the journal publishing system. Our journal operates on a no-fee basis, and all submissions undergo a peer-review process. We prioritize HTML publication and PDF versions will be available within 30 days after HTML publication.
