Aims and Scopes
Plant Gene and Trait is dedicated to the plant genes and traits within the fields of genetics, functional genomics, phenomics, biochemistry, physiology and morphology. This journal publishes research and review articles on the use of genetics to investigate the physiology of plant organisms. This includes reverse genetic approaches such as addition or removal of genes by transgenesis or gene targeting, and forward genetics by spontaneous or induced mutagenesis, particularly in the areas of chromatin, chromosomes, genomes, gene structure and its function, metabolic pathways, as well as heredity and variation in plants.
The primary criteria for publication is new insights that not only meet the specific interests of scientists working on genomics and genetics, but also to attract the attention from researchers who are engaging in the areas of general biology, botany and agronomy.
